Daily Market Movers — Tuesday, September 1, 2026
Daily crypto market update: BTC at $77,848, Fear & Greed at 69. See today's biggest gainers, losers, and what to watch.
CoinGecko data shows Arbitrum (ARB) as Tuesday's biggest mover, up 24.8%, even as the total crypto market cap fell 3.1% to $2.62 trillion on September 1, 2026. BTC sat at $77,848, down 1.0%, while ETH held flat at $2,446. DeFi TVL stands at $88.0 billion, per DefiLlama. ARB's move looks like token-specific demand rather than a broad market rally. The Fear & Greed Index reads 69, or Greed, according to Alternative.me. BTC dominance holds at 59.6%, per CoinGecko, so Bitcoin still controls well over half the market. ARB rose 24.8% and MANTRA fell 5.1%, though neither move has a confirmed catalyst. Sentiment stayed greedy at 69 even as total market cap dropped 3.1%.
